FAQs

Unlike almost every automotive publication in Australia, ReDriven has absolutely NO affiliation with car makers. We do not receive any ad revenue from OEMs, we do not attend launches, and we do not engage in any commercial content funded by car manufacturers. This makes ReDriven one of only a couple of truely independent automotive content creators in the country.

Our revenue is split between Google AdSense revenue from YouTube and sponsors, all of which are chosen because they provide genuine value to our community.

In order to make the information in our reviews as accurate as possible. we try to gather information from as many sources as possible. This includes anecdotal data from owners’ groups, forums and discussions with owners directly. We also speak with specialist and independent mechanics.

When compiling the research for our reviews, we do our best to focus only on issues that have been reported numerous times, from different sources. This means we are not including every tiny issues that may be sporadic or due to potential user error.

While we acknowledge our method has its limitations, we are constantly looking for ways to improve the reliability of our content.

In the early days, when we were building the channel, we reviewed our own cars, borrowed them from friends, partners, partner’s parents. We begged, borrowed and stole in order to get some content under our belt.

These days, we are lucky that almost every car we review has been volunteered by our community – which we are HUGELY thankful for. We also have relationships which some dealers and car yards who graciously lend us cars.

Importantly, no owners – whether sourced privately or through a dealer – has every had any input on the information that is published about them. ReDriven is 100% independent. Always.
